I started working on this book, “Run Ride”, in the summer of 1995.  Initially I intended to use the book’s cover to package letters I sent to my girlfriend who was traveling across the country that summer.  I started intervening with the remaining text pages – painting, drawing and inserting pictures.  After two years, the resultant pages chronicled falling in love, traveling around the world, and the space that can be spanned between two people when living apart.  Scarlett and I married in 2003.
